TruckEast Ltd is seeking a Workshop Foreman/Chargehand to oversee the Technician team and ensure the smooth running of the Workshop. The role involves managing staff, monitoring productivity, maintaining positive customer relationships, and maximising profitability.
• Manage all staff, monitor timekeeping and productivity
• Establish close working relationships with all departments
• Deal with queries effectively and ensure all actions are met
• Assist in training and development programs
• Maximise profitability of parts and service departments
• Control and maintain departmental parts stock levels
• Contribute to the development of operating and administrative systems
• Remain up to date with relevant legal requirements
• Achieve and exceed customer service level expectations
• Ensure premises and vehicles are maintained to a high standard
• Other duties as assigned by manager
• Technical Qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or proven experience with HGV vehicles
• Current driving licence
• Supervisory or management experience
• LGV/HGV licence (desirable)
• Ability to work within a team
• Excellent organisation and analytical skills
• Customer service skills
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements
