Job Description

Join us as a Town & Country Planning Specialist to work collaboratively with local planning authorities, developers, and decision-makers to achieve positive environmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and guidance on development proposals and planning appeals.
Project manage input into high-profile developments.
Influence the preparation and review of Local Plans and relevant policies.
Represent the Environment Agency as an expert witness at appeals and inquiries.
Develop relationships with stakeholders to maintain partnerships and influence environmental outcomes.
Keep up to date on changing legislation, case law, and best practices.
Mentor team members on policies, procedures, and techniques.

Qualifications

Professionally recognised planning qualification.
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligible for membership.
Proven experience in dealing with development issues and influencing stakeholders.
Outstanding technical knowledge of planning applications.
