Voluntary role to assist BIAZA in determining if members meet required standards and provide support for best practices in animal welfare, conservation, education, and research.
Participate in accreditation screener training, Review desk-based screening paperwork, Participate in screening visits, Agree on final accreditation report and recommendations.
Must be a professional BIAZA member or employed by a full BIAZA member, Have at least 5 years of experience in a zoo or aquarium, Currently hold or have held a management position in a relevant area, Stay updated on best practices and BIAZA policies, Attend at least 1 accreditation screening per year, Maintain confidentiality and impartiality, Have good English communication skills.
Expenses covered for travel, accommodation, and subsidence during screenings, Opportunity to work with a team of voluntary BIAZA Accreditation Screeners, Flexibility in commitment.
