Job Description

Join our team at The University of Sheffield as a Mental Health Development Officer. You will play a key role in managing and developing our wellbeing offer, ensuring it complements our clinical services and interfaces effectively with faculties.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and strengthen the wellbeing offer
  • Support with managing the faculty-based wellbeing service
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Conduct robust initial assessments and provide action plans
  • Refer and consult with internal and external services
  • Provide psychosocial interventions
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Contribute to service monitoring and research
  • Provide advice to staff regarding student mental wellbeing
  • Demonstrate ongoing CPD and ethical decision-making

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified mental health professional
  • Extensive post-qualification clinical experience
  • Experience in overseeing service outputs
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to support students and staff
  • Work in line with equality and diversity policies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
