Job Description

Join The University of Sheffield as a Mental Health Development Officer to work within the Student Mental Health, Counselling Therapies and Wellbeing Service. This role involves managing and developing the wellbeing offer, collaborating with key stakeholders, and contributing to the overall clinical offer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the wellbeing offer to positively interface with faculties
  • Support with managing the faculty-based wellbeing service and contribute to monitoring and review
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders
  • Conduct robust assessments and determine appropriate interventions for students
  • Provide psychosocial interventions and support for students with multiple needs
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service monitoring

Qualifications

  • Professionally qualified mental health professional registered with a Mental Health professional body
  • Extensive post qualification clinical experience in assessing mental health difficulties
  • Experience in overseeing service outputs or aptitude to successfully oversee a service
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work to university policies on equality and diversity
  • Good IT skills and ability to collaborate effectively
