Job Description

The Student Counsellor at The University of Sheffield provides time-limited counselling and psychotherapy to students as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves managing safeguarding issues, maintaining client records, and contributing to service planning and delivery of student wellbeing events.

Responsibilities

  • Offer time-limited counselling and psychotherapy to students
  • Plan and organise a varied caseload
  • Manage and monitor safeguarding issues
  • Maintain client records
  • Contribute to service planning and delivery of student wellbeing events

Qualifications

  • Minimum Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in counselling/psychotherapy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in managing risk and safeguarding issues
