Job Description

The Student Counsellor at The University of Sheffield provides time-limited counselling and psychotherapy to students as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves managing safeguarding issues, maintaining client records, and contributing to service planning and delivery of student wellbeing events.

Responsibilities

Offer time-limited counselling and psychotherapy to students
Plan and organise a varied caseload
Manage and monitor safeguarding issues
Maintain client records
Contribute to service planning and delivery of student wellbeing events

Qualifications

Minimum Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling/Psychotherapy or equivalent qualification
Experience in counselling/psychotherapy
Excellent communication skills
Experience in managing risk and safeguarding issues
