Job Description

Network Rail is looking for a Business Development Manager to identify and develop new Freight Route business and income opportunities in line with business objectives. This role involves developing Rail Freight market intelligence, exploring new external funding streams, and driving solution delivery.

Responsibilities

Meet commercial development investment targets
Develop relationships with clients and sector players
Provide market intelligence in rail freight sectors
Identify future opportunities beneficial to the Freight route
Work with teams on strategy and decision making
Engage with potential clients to generate external funding
Develop strategic relationships with sector players
Provide advice and guidance on potential opportunities in the market
Maintain quality standards for market intelligence and analysis

Qualifications

Degree level qualification or equivalent
Customer relationship management at a senior level
Influencing skills
Senior management & leadership experience
