Job Description

The Work Based Education Officer will work with learners, monitoring and assessing their progress in meetings and evidencing the knowledge, skills, and behaviors outlined in the relevant apprenticeship and work-based education standards. The role involves working in partnership with employers to ensure all relevant documentation is in place to meet funding and quality assurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Visit learners in employment (including virtually) and provide comprehensive support in their work-based education and/or apprenticeship development.
  • Provide skills, knowledge, and behavior insight and input to learners and assess competence to work-based and/or apprenticeship standards where appropriate in the professional setting.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress through learner reviews to meet work-based and/or apprenticeship quality assurance standards.
  • Complete various documentation in accordance with Apprenticeship Funding and Performance Management Rules.
  • Undertake progress review meetings on a quarterly basis with employers and apprentices.
  • Ensure timely achievement and successful progression of learners through monitoring of progress and evidence.
  • Maintain oversight of learners' Continuous Personal Development.
  • Complete tracking systems to fulfill evidence requirements for work-based education and/or apprenticeships.
  • Participate in internal quality audits to monitor standards of learners' work.
  • Support University activity to promote work-based education.
