Join a leading business in Walsall as an Assistant Accountant, supporting the finance team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supporting the month-end close process
Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journals
Assisting with management accounts preparation
Balance sheet reconciliations
Supporting budgeting and forecasting activity
Liaising with auditors and wider finance team
Supporting process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar Assistant Accountant role
Actively studying or keen to study AAT/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
