Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Secondary Teacher to work with students aged 11-16 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for students with a range of SEND needs.
Work closely with small groups and individual learners to build trust and motivation.
Prepare teaching materials and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Support students in developing emotional resilience and academic progress.
Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver a holistic curriculum.
Deliver accredited courses including GCSE, BTEC, and Entry Level qualifications.

Qualifications

Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
Minimum of two years' experience working in a SEND or SEMH secondary environment.
Understanding of the impact of early adversity and trauma on learning and behavior.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
