Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Secondary Teacher to work with students aged 11-16 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for students with a range of SEND needs.
  • Work closely with small groups and individual learners to build trust and motivation.
  • Prepare teaching materials and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support students in developing emotional resilience and academic progress.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver a holistic curriculum.
  • Deliver accredited courses including GCSE, BTEC, and Entry Level qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in a SEND or SEMH secondary environment.
  • Understanding of the impact of early adversity and trauma on learning and behavior.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
