Job Description

Bright Start Children’s Centre Services within Bath and North East Somerset are looking for a highly-committed Family Support Practitioner Level IV (Lead Family Support Worker) to cover a year’s maternity leave. They must be experienced in the delivery of project management to join our highly motivated and professional team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the quality of learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 years who are accessing Children’s Centre services
  • Leading on the delivery of Flying Start - Home Learning across Bright Start Children’s Centre Services
  • The link person for the Early Years settings across Bath & North East Somerset
  • Deputise for the Children’s Centre Coordinator in her absence
  • Support the Childcare Practitioner ll (Early Years Practitioner)
  • Support with Safeguarding decisions in the absence of the Coordinator
  • Support the delivery of the Early Help triage
  • Ensuring the health & safety of service users in Keynsham & Chew Valley Children & Family Centre. In the absence of a Coordinator
  • Work with Families through Family Support. These families may be on a Child Protection or Child in need plan
  • Work in partnership with other agencies to provide consistent support and positive outcomes for Children

Qualifications

You will have previous experience in working with children from complex families, project management, as well as in the support and supervision of staff (1:1). Furthermore, you will have the drive and passion to support the ongoing growth of this service.
