Job Description

The CNC Turner will be responsible for producing automotive components for the Vintage Bentley community. This role involves operating a CNC lathe, setting programs, fixtures, and tooling, as well as programming new operations using CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre to produce automotive components.
  • Create and validate new programs using a combination of offline and online programming.
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager and production team members to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and program issues.
  • Support inspection functions and carry out first-off inspections.
  • Manage material within the material stores.
  • Support production cost estimates.
  • Suggest process, tooling, routing, and drawing changes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of experience.
  • Interest in the automotive industry.
  • Experience with Solidworks & CAMWorks preferred.
  • Experience with machining castings and forgings desirable.
