Job Description

Join our team as a Research Project Coordinator to support a dynamic scientific research programme. This role involves project coordination and strategic research support.

Responsibilities

Review and collate information from existing research contracts

Build and maintain project trackers for timelines, deliverables, and budgets

Monitor reporting milestones and financial commitments

Support day-to-day admin tasks including raising purchase orders and financial documentation

Assist in documenting procurement processes and drafting internal SOPs

Support idea generation and prioritisation of future research areas

Conduct stakeholder mapping and environmental scanning

Help scope and draft new research questions

Monitor external activity across the sector to prevent duplication

Liaise with internal teams and external collaborators

Qualifications

Proven project coordination skills (professional or academic)

Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational ability

Comfortable with Excel and general MS Office tools

Basic financial knowledge and ability to monitor budgets

Confident communicator, happy working across teams

Relevant scientific qualification (e.g. life sciences, veterinary, environmental science) - Desirable

Understanding of research methods, literature reviews or publications - Desirable

Experience working in or supporting externally commissioned research - Desirable

Awareness of the funding or research commissioning process - Desirable
