Job Description

Join our team as a Primary Specialist to provide educational support to children and families affected by the Grenfell tragedy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct baseline assessments to understand children's specific needs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to parents on school applications, transitions, and educational rights.
  • Liaise between families and schools to ensure teachers are informed about children's needs and support.
  • Deliver trauma-informed guidance on the impact of trauma on learning and behavior.
  • Develop and run workshops on family relationships, communication, and restorative practices.
  • Plan and deliver small group after-school teaching sessions in English and Maths.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary education.
  • Experience working with children across different key stages.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practice.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and safeguarding responsibilities.
