Job Description

A teaching assistant is needed for an outstanding special educational needs (SEN) school in North London for primary school students.

Responsibilities

Working with and supporting students with learning difficulties and complex needs, including students with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) or challenging behavior.
Providing academic support, either one-on-one or in a small group.
Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture and providing emotional support when needed.
Implementing behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Assisting with lesson planning and delivery.
Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

Qualifications

The right to work in the UK.
A clear and up-to-date DBS.
Experience working as a teaching assistant.
A patient, kind attitude with a passion to support SEN students and a keen interest in child development.
