Job Description

The Purchaser will be responsible for managing all local purchasing requirements, interacting with suppliers, organizing purchasing calendars, identifying cost-saving opportunities, supplier evaluations, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial contact for local prescribers and liaise on purchasing requirements
  • Manage purchasing items, including interaction with suppliers
  • Organize annual purchasing calendar and diarize tender processes
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improved efficiencies
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and manage supplier and contract performance
  • Collaborate with Senior Purchaser and Category Managers
  • Report on purchasing activities and performance statistics
  • Maintain supplier contracts and update contracts register
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as required
  • Travel for meetings with suppliers and business units
  • Conduct Preliminary Analysis Grids and Due Diligence
  • Handle vendor creation requests and amendments
  • Liaise with legal team regarding contracts and NDA's
  • Create annual framework purchase orders in SAP tool
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and fiscal constraints
  • Update supplier register

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchase-to-pay cycle
  • Experience in commercial negotiation and interaction with suppliers/customers
  • Attention to detail, self-disciplined, organized, and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Confident communicator and able to deal with colleagues on all levels
  • Based locally to the lubricants plant or within the region
