Job Description

Join our team at Hertfordshire County Council as a Senior Residential Childcare Worker. You will play a crucial role in supporting young people in our residential care homes to develop and grow.

Responsibilities

Shift work including evening weekends, bank holiday, and sleep-in duties.
Lead and manage shifts.
Plan weekly activities for young people.
Ensure the home is working to regulations.
Line manage and supervise Residential Childcare Workers (RCWs).
Train and develop RCWs.
Report writing.
Undertaking specialist training for the role.
Oversee children's files, manage incidents, and maintain safety.
Manage and report safeguarding concerns.

Qualifications

Minimum 9-12 months experience in a residential children's home.
NVQ level 4 Health & Social Care.
Full driving licence and business insurance.
Experience in staff supervision and working with families (desirable).
