Job Description

This role combines responsibilities as an Airport Firefighter and Aircraft Refueller at a low-category aerodrome supporting Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and General Aviation (GA) operations.

Responsibilities

Respond to aircraft fire incidents, fuel spills, and emergencies involving UAS and GA aircraft.
Conduct aircraft rescue operations and provide first aid.
Manage emergency procedures for UAS crashes and system failures.
Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure fire safety measures are in place.
Safely refuel GA aircraft and UAS following operational procedures and regulations.
Perform inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles and refuelling equipment.
Conduct routine inspections of aerodrome surfaces ensuring safe operations.
Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on regulations and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a firefighter civilian or MOD.
Physically fit and able to meet firefighter fitness requirements.
Full UK driving licence.
Understanding of aviation fire safety procedures and emergency response.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
