Job Description

A.J. Allan Ltd is seeking a General Manager to oversee all aspects of seed potato growing, storage, grading, and trading activities. The successful candidate will work closely with IPM Potato Group Ltd to meet production and quality targets.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of full-time and temporary staff
Production planning for early harvest & shipment
Liaise with landlords for suitable land
Assist with annual budgets
Procurement and replacement planning for machinery
Stock and inventory management
Facilities management including storage & grading
Marketing of seed and ware potatoes

Qualifications

Knowledge of potato agronomy and crop production
Understanding of modern machinery
Experience in general project management
