Job Description

Join a primary school in Redbridge as a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant providing support to children with complex needs.

Responsibilities

Provide consistent, high-quality support to children with complex needs.
Work closely with the class teacher to implement and adapt individual learning plans.
Support children with communication, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and social development.
Respond effectively to challenging behavior and emotional needs.
Liaise with SENCOs, therapists, and families for joined-up support.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children with SEND.
Understanding of a range of special educational needs.
Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
