Job Description

HR Recruit is partnering with a client in the industrial sector to find an experienced HR professional to join their leadership team. This senior-level position reports directly to the Managing Director and includes responsibility for managing a small HR team.

Responsibilities

Maintain awareness of new employment legislation and/or best practice, recommend practical appropriate action to SMT and develop appropriate policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Provide an effective advisory and support service on employee relations (including with the recognised Unions and manage and support HR colleagues in providing HR advice and guidance.

Develop an employee focused Training and Development plan to encompass efficient recruitment, induction, development and succession planning, the outcome of which will be to reduce staff turnover, and ensure employees have the right skills for their current and future needs.

Support SMT with reviews of employee structures and remuneration.

Develop suitable people related metrics for use by the SMT to monitor performance against our aims.

Ensure that all employees are provided with up to date contracts of employment with correct terms and conditions.

Promote and develop Employee health and wellbeing and manage Occupational Health services.

Promote equality and diversity in the workplace and deliver services which are accessible and appropriate to the diverse needs of employees.

Qualifications

Experience of managing an HR team and delivering a comprehensive HR service

Comfortable dealing with all levels of staff, from directors to employees including making presentations to the Board.

Experience of managing significant organisational change to a successful conclusion

In depth knowledge of employment legislation and dealing with complex employee relations cases

Proven track record showing ability to lead, inspire, motivate, challenge, empower and develop people

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and network

Passionate and resilient with a positive outlook and hands on style

Capable of delivering results to tight deadlines and under pressure

Dynamic and energetic personality with a high degree of commitment, integrity and personal drive

Self-motivated with a commitment to quality, customer service and continuous improvement
