Job Description

Join our team as a Deputy Manager in our Secure Children's Home, Marydale Lodge, in St Helens. Provide leadership, support staff, maintain safety, and make informed decisions within delegated authority.

Responsibilities

Supporting the Manager and delegating tasks
Contributing to strategic plans and decision-making
Supervising team activities and ensuring high standards
Handling administrative tasks and maintaining records
Identifying and resolving issues effectively
Communicating with staff, stakeholders, and clients
Making sound decisions and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

Hold a Level 3 Diploma for residential childcare (or equivalent)
Understanding of policies and regulations for secure Children's home
Demonstrate commitment to support and care for vulnerable young people
Engage in good child care practice and leadership
Handle emotional and physical conflict and crisis situations
Understand child development, attachment, and impact of trauma
