Job Description

Join AWLQ, a leading charity in the animal welfare sector, as an Animal Shelter Manager in Ipswich. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Ipswich Animal Rehoming Centre and lead a dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of care for animals in need.

Responsibilities

Oversee the onsite veterinary team
Provide clear direction and support to the team for day-to-day operational activities
Work with our network of Shelter Managers to ensure smooth running of the centre
Manage the on-site veterinary team and people management
Manage relationship with Ipswich City Council and customers
Ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and legislation

Qualifications

Certificate or degree in a relevant animal, management or training qualification
Minimum 3 years of Management experience in a Shelter or Pound
Current driver's licence and experience working with local councils
Extensive dog and cat knowledge with exceptional customer service experience
