Job Description

Our client, a global FMCG group, is seeking to recruit a Project Buyer - Indirect spend: Facilities for a 1-year contract employment based in Stockley Park, Greater London.

Responsibilities

Source and negotiate while managing timing, quality, sustainability and costs in line with functional business, region & objectives. Responsible for managing all procurement activities related to local or regional projects in the category of Business Services for the Beverage & Food Europe business to generate savings and extend coverage, report activity and savings. Ensure alignment within the local Business Units agenda for Procurement strategies and through that cooperation with local BU, ensure that benefits are delivered. Develop appropriate supplier relationships in alignment with the project including effective management and monitoring of vendor contracts. Ensure the follow up of all project procurement activities related to the the Source to Pay (STP) process and risk management. Ensure contracts / business engagements with suppliers are agreed, signed and registered in the STP contract life cycle -system. Scan market for key developments, propose innovations and new products from suppliers to the business. Implement usage of group procurement methods and sourcing tools. Draw up contracts, in consultation with Legal Function as necessary.

Qualifications

University degree level, technical or economical. CIPS qualified, studying towards or equivalent studies is a plus. 10 years’ experience in Procurement. Strong track record of purchasing experience in various Indirect areas including Corporate and Professional Services. Exceptional analytical ability. Coupa (preferred or any other StP tools) / BI tools / Microsoft fluency. Strong communications and influencing skills – ability to steer senior stakeholder towards decisions. Team player with a positive mindset and great energy, able to fit in a diverse team split in different key hubs in Europe.
